# Account, organization, and users

All cards, templates, HubSpot portals, and connections belong to an organization. Users can only see data in their own organization.

## Create an account or log in

On the login page, you can log in with your email and password. If self-service signup is enabled, you can choose **Create your organization** and provide:

* the organization's name;
* your name;
* a valid email address;
* a password of at least eight characters.

The first user becomes an owner. If self-service signup is disabled on the server, contact Consile or an existing owner.

## Roles

## Invite a colleague

An owner opens **Users**, fills in the name, email, and role, and chooses **Create user**.

Card Studio shows a temporary password once. Copy it right away and share it through a secure channel. The pilot flow does not send an invitation email automatically.

Your colleague logs in with their email and the temporary password, then changes their password under **Users**.

## Change a role

An owner can switch other users between editor and owner. The organization must always have at least one owner. The last owner therefore cannot be downgraded until another user has been made an owner.

## Remove a user

An owner can remove other users, but not themselves. Published versions are kept; historical versions can still exist even after the publishing user is removed, but the user reference may become empty.

Before removing an employee, an owner should check active connections and changes in progress. Cards belong to the organization and are not deleted with the user.

## Change your own password

Every user can change their password under **Users**. Enter your current password and a new one of at least eight characters. An account that only has an external identity and no password yet can set its first password without an existing password hash.

## Language

The language switcher toggles the Card Studio interface between Danish and English. A card's authoring locale is stored in its definition and used for formatting hints. Switching the UI language does not automatically translate text already written into a card.
