# Image

> Show a logo or illustration from a publicly accessible web address.

# Image

**Image** shows an external image file. Use it sparingly for logos, product images, or illustrations that help the user with the task.

## Availability

Image can be used in every placement and structure block, including Repeater.

## Add and configure

1. Add **Image** from **Structure**.
2. Paste the **Image address (https)**.
3. Write a meaningful **Alternative text**.

The address must be a valid URL and can be up to 500 characters. The alt text is required and can be up to 200 characters.

## Data, rules, and steps

The image address is a fixed text field in the current designer and cannot be bound to record data. The whole block can be assigned to a step and have a visibility rule.

## Limitations and tips

The schema supports a width from 16 to 1,200 pixels, but the width setting is not shown in the inspector. The image therefore follows the renderer's default.

The file must be retrievable by the user's browser without login or blocked hotlinking. Use HTTPS, stable hosting, and a reasonable file size. Avoid personal data in public image URLs.

The alt text should describe the image's meaning. Use empty/decorative images thoughtfully; the schema requires non-empty text.
