# Link

> Show a text link to a fixed or dynamic address.

# Link

**Link** sends the user to another page or resource. Use it for navigation that doesn't need a multi-step action sequence.

## Availability

Link can be used in all placements and structure blocks, including Repeater.

## Add and configure

1. Add **Link** from **Structure**.
2. Enter the visible **Text**.
3. Enter the **Address (https)**.

Both the text and the address can be fixed, dynamic, or composed of multiple segments. That makes it possible to include, for example, a record ID or portal ID as part of the URL.

## Data, rules, and steps

Inside a Repeater, each row can build its own link from row fields. The link can be assigned to a step and have a visibility rule.

## Limitations and tips

The schema supports choosing external navigation and several visual variants, but these settings are not shown in the current designer.

A dynamic address is not fully URL-validated at authoring time, because it is only assembled at runtime. Make sure it has a fixed `https://` prefix and test with normal values, empty values, and values containing special characters.

Use [Buttons](/components/button-row) with **Open a link** if data needs to be updated or feedback shown first. A Link on its own performs no other actions.
