# Report

> Show an existing HubSpot report directly on the card using its report number.

# Report

**Report** embeds an existing HubSpot report using HubSpot's native CRM component. Card Studio does not create the report; it must already exist in HubSpot.

## Availability

Report can be used in the middle column, preview panel, and Help desk sidebar. It cannot be used in the regular CRM sidebar.

## Add and configure

1. Open the report you want in HubSpot.
2. Copy the report's number from the address bar.
3. Add **Report** from **CRM data**.
4. Paste the number into **Report number**.

The report number is required and can be up to 30 characters. An empty default block makes the card invalid until the number is filled in.

## Data, rules, and steps

The report's underlying data, filters, and visualization are managed in HubSpot. Card Studio can only place it, assign it to a step, and control its visibility as a whole.

## Limitations and tips

The user must have access to the report and its data in HubSpot. A report can therefore work for an administrator and be empty or unavailable for another role.

Report IDs are portal-specific. A template with a fixed report number won't necessarily work in another portal. Document which dashboard/report the card depends on.

Use [Chart](/components/chart) if the visualization should be built directly from a Card Studio list instead of an existing HubSpot report.
