# Pipeline status

> Show where the current record is in its HubSpot pipeline.

# Pipeline status

**Pipeline status** shows the record's stage and progression using HubSpot's native stage tracker. It is most relevant for deals and tickets, but can be used on other pipeline-based objects.

## Availability

Pipeline status can be used in the middle column, preview panel, and Help desk sidebar. It cannot be used in the regular CRM sidebar.

## Add and configure

1. Add **Pipeline status** from **CRM data**.
2. Optionally choose up to four **Properties** to show alongside the stage progression.

If no extra properties are chosen, the HubSpot component uses the record's normal pipeline context.

## Data, rules, and steps

Pipeline status is bound to the record the card sits on. You can control the whole building block with a step and a visibility rule, but you cannot bind its stages to an external data source.

## Limitations and tips

The actual pipeline flow and stage labels are managed in HubSpot, not in Card Studio. If the tracker is empty or wrong, check that the object has a pipeline and that the record has a valid stage.

The schema can specify an alternative object type, but the current designer does not expose this choice. The building block therefore follows the card's primary record context.
