Text

Use Text for explanations, instructions, and short dynamic sentences. It works best for one or two sentences; long guides belong in a panel or external documentation.

Availability

Text can be used in all placements and in all structure blocks.

Add and configure

  1. Add Text from Content.
  2. Write the fixed text.
  3. Use Add field in the text editor to insert dynamic segments.
You can mix up to 20 fixed and dynamic segments. A fixed segment can be up to 2,000 characters.

  • “Owner: [Record · Owner]”
  • “[Associated deals · Count] deals are associated with this company.”
  • “You are logged in as [Card info · User name].”
  • Inside a repeater: “Due [Row · Due date].”

Data, rules, and steps

Text supports all scalar data sources: record, association counts/sums, external fields, form answers, selected record, step, card info, and row. Use a visibility rule if the text is only relevant for a certain status. On flows, the text can be shared or belong to a single step.

Limitations and tips

The schema supports the bodytext/microcopy variants and several font weights, but these options are not shown in the current designer. Write the content so it works with the default typography. If a dynamic segment is empty, the fixed segments are still shown. Write the sentence so it isn’t misleading without data, or control the whole text block with an “is not empty” rule.
